Subdivision Politics

The election earlier this week of Democrat Mark Herring to the state Senate, an office previously held by a Republican, is a sure sign that something's brewing in Loudoun County.

Loudoun is the spear-head -- the pointy end of the spearhead - of growth in Virginia, and what happens there holds lessons for other fast-growing regions of the state.
